My Story
in 1999 my family experienced a house fire. Our house did not burn to the ground, but it was damaged enough that we have to move to an apartment for 4 months while it was rebuilt. Once we settled back in to our home, we totally changed our way of life. In addition to how we now felt about material things, our common daily practices changed. We stopped running the clothes dryer when we left the house and small appliances got unplugged after use. And the thing that changed the most was the use of candles. Before the fire we always had a candle burning in one room or another. After the fire we almost stopped using them completely. We still occasionally lit candles but never left a candle burning for long or we took them with us if we left the room. There was never peace of mind when a candle was lit so we often didn’t bother at all. A few years later we were visiting my husband's cousin Rachel and and I noticed how great her home smelled. She told me about Scentsy and explained how safe it was using electric warmers instead of burning candles. She showed me the different types of warmers and I couldn't believe that there were over 80 different scents to choose from. She gave me my first warmer as a gift that day. The first scents that I selected were Welcome Home and Ocean. I was immediately hooked!! I could turn on my warmers and leave the room and even leave the house. When I retuned home my house smelled great and my home was safe again! It was liberating! A week after I started using my Scentsy warmer, I called Rachel and told her that I wanted to be a Consultant. I wanted to tell people about Scentsy, and show them how it can change their lives like it did for me. (I also needed a way to support my new addiction!)I have been selling Scentsy ever since and I love it!! I get to go to parties and do home shows, have fun and meet new people. I really love telling people my story and the Scentsy story and helping them select the right products.
